Here you can see a few examples on my works* on which I was working during my work experience in Terence O'Rourke.
Terence O'Rourke is an award winning practice specialising in: town planning, urban design, environmental consultancy, landscape architecture, architecture and graphic design.
During my practice in TO'R I was taking part in designing process of school, energy park, housing areas etc.
I worked on planting plans, sections, and detail drawings so as master plans.
Planting Plans
While working on that project I was making a planting plan for Primary School surrounding.
The main task was to tie in architecture of the school building and create interesting space for all users, especially children, by using species attractive by color and smell, for instance Lavandula angustifolia, Pittosporum tenuifolium and Cottinus coggygria.
In that project I was working on a digital base for a Household Waste Recycling Centre project, using materials from consultants and then, going on with making a planting plan.
The most important thing in this job was to create a fast growing green screen to cover the Centre. To achive that I've used evergreens such as: Prunus laurocerasus and Ilex aquifolium and deciduouses, for example: Cornus sanguinea.
Master plans
In the project of Housing Enclave I was helping with preparing a set of hard landscape drawings, containing surfaces and boundaries plans.
Working out problem of diferent levels around the area was a good lesson - the world is not flat:)
Sections
The following sections come from the School project.
I was supposed to do the sections through the terrain, showing its difference as well as architectural details such as: stairs, sittings, retaining walls and the way of planting trees in hard and soft areas.
This sections show earth works in project of Energy Park.
They are a very complex drawings displaying different phases of work while showing temporary fill, premanent fill and a cut.
Details
The following drawings show surface details from Housing Enclave project. I've made the drawings to show different character of few kinds of streets using various range of materials.
